Hopptornet (Ten Meter Tower) is a short film by Swedish documentary filmmakers Maximilien Van Aertryck and Axel Danielson. It’s a powerful, riveting 16 minutes that explores a broad range of human behavior and emotion with cameras focused on a single act: jump off the diving board or don’t.
Check out this link to the original New York Times opinion piece authored by the filmmakers about their film. From that page you can view it in full screen (which I highly recommend).
Why this? Why now? We all need a distraction sometimes, to be completely immersed in something yet able to easily return to the demands of the moment once it’s over. This film will do that for you, and leave you with more food for thought than 16 minutes on your favorite phone app.
